The Survey is now closed
The Teacher Empowerment Survey for Exploring the Professional Growth Continuum was a National Science Foundation funded project intended to identify those pivotal experiences of career science teachers that have promoted their advancement along the teacher professional continuum.
“The purpose is to study how teachers’ perceptions of their empowerment change as a result of key events during their careers. Furthermore, the research looks at the interactions of these key events and searches for patterns and structures.”
– Dr. Mary Hobbs
Implications for use of the data include the identification and implementation of effective professional development models and experiences that enhance science teachers’ retention and effectiveness at the appropriate career intervals.
If you were able to complete the survey from 2010-2012, we appreciate your willingness to contribute to the body of knowledge about classroom teachers. Your responses were added to data from hundreds of other teachers and your personal, individual responses remained secure and completely anonymous.
